First we need to open the record control sliders.
In Paltalk 9.5 go to file then setup preferences
Then click on test mic and speakers and click on input mixers.
If not logged into paltalk first right click your speaker icon and
click open volume controls
This opens playback controls
Now click options.. Properties
This will open the properties window... put the dot beside recording and then click ok
These all bring up the recording controls
When your record controls are open you will see a lot of different sliders, the microphone slider should be the one with the checkmark in the select box.
To play music into a room you change which slider is selected, in this case we would choose Stereo Mix
Your sliders may be a bit different, if you don't have Stereo Mix look for Wave or
Wave out or What you Hear for Creative cards. If you don't see any of those sliders go to options in the top lefthand corner and click on properties.
In the window that opens up, make sure the dot is beside recording and
look in the white box at the bottom and put checks besides
the sliders that you want to show.
Problem in Paltalk
1. Mic Not Working
The first thing to check if your mic isn't working is to make sure it's selected in the recording sliders. Bring the sliders up as shown in the following pictures.
If not logged into paltalk first right click your speaker icon and click open volume controls
This opens playback controls
Now click options.. properties
This will open the properties window... put the dot beside recording and then click ok
In Paltalk 9.0 go to setup then preferences then audio tests. Click on input mixers.
These all bring up the recording controls
Once you have the recording sliders open make sure that you have a checkmark in the box beside the word select. If the mic works but the volume is too low click on the advanced button and enable the mic boost.
If you have no advanced button then go to options in top left corner and click on advanced sound controls
Hope this helps you.
2. Sound Breaking
When sound is breaking badly in Paltalk the recommended fix is to set up the settings in the sound controls tab.
Once you have the checks in the boxes click ok and restart paltalk.
